Keynote title: Security and the Monty Hall Problem

Bennet is a software engineer at Google, most recently working as one of the two tech leads for the Native Client open source project. Prior to joining Google, Bennet taught at the University of California at San Diego. He received a CS PhD from Carnegie Mellon, writing his thesis on tamper- responding hardware and their security applications, and his Mathematics and Computer Engineering BSs from Oregon State.

Abstract:
This talk will (hopefully) be a fun romp through simple applied game theory and computer security. We will discuss how the once popular television game show "Let's Make A Deal" spawned the "Monty Hall Problem", which even confused the Guiness Book of World Records holder for Highest IQ, Marilyn vos Savant, and how it might apply to computer security issues, both software and hardware. Along the way we will touch on recent trends in software security practices and make some outrageous remarks.
