Dan Turner

Dan Turner is a General Manager, and the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Vistorm, an HP Company. Vistorm is a specialist Information Security Services Company acquired by EDS. EDS was then itself acquired in 2008 by HP. His passion is helping organisations take a more strategic approach to enabling and protecting their Information Capital.

Dan joined Vistorm in October 2004 to focus on developing the value of Vistorm's Information Assurance professional services and its associated Intellectual Property. Dan leads Vistorm's Solutions Centre of Excellence, responsible for defining the company roadmap and the development of its Services Practice. Dan has been instrumental in developing Vistorm's Information Assurance Platform and the delivery of its capability into the market. He is based in London.

Prior to joining Vistorm, Dan was at QinetiQ, where he successfully led the turn-around of its Information Security business back into profitability. In an 18-month period Dan transformed the business from the worst performing, to the fastest growing business centre within the QinetiQ Group, with a turnover greater than $30m. Before opting to have a career in industry Dan was a senior officer in the Royal Air Force where he served in a number of roles until 2001.

Dan is an Engineer by profession and a chartered member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers. He received an MBA with distinction, from Warwick Business School and holds a Masters in Advanced Systems Engineering gained from Loughborough University.
